Once an old Whaler’s cottage this building is now considered historic and is heritage listed.

Careful consideration for detail was necessary to support the site values, while bold patterned artisan wallpapers add character and contrast against the heritage restoration and provide a modern change to a dark past.

To maximise space the front sunroom was divided by two angled walls, slicing into a widened entrance at the top of a central hallway.

The integration of the old sunroom into the two front guest rooms created more floor area and made room for full kitchen facilities including a bar fridge and round sink.

Heritage features within the building included original teak floors with matching timber specified, original doors and windows, and the original exterior façade.
